NIBA/LiftUp Food Drive Kickoff Meeting
Join us to volunteer and stay for the after-party!
You'll help sort and organize food pallets, preparing them for distribution to our neighbors in need. You will also pack food boxes that will be delivered to residents in affordable housing communities. By volunteering, you directly support Lift UP's mission of providing healthy, nutritious food to those facing food insecurity, helping to create a more equitable and resilient community.

CCA has a long history of hosting engaging mayoral debates, this year promises to be a riveting debate focusing on the issues impacting our industrial workforce the most.

WHAT: COP update and Elite Protection services security proposal.
GUEST SPEAKER: Andrew Fitzpatrick from the mayor's office and Paul from Elite Protective Services
Andrew Fitzpatrick is the Director of Economic Development, at the Office of Mayor Ted Wheeler. He will speak on the latest issues surrounding the emergency ban on small amounts of legal drugs, the camping initiative, and the latest measures the city is taking to clean things up.
Paul from Elite Protective Services will be sharing a security proposal for the district.
NIBA - Venture Portland
For the January NIBA meeting, we will be working with Venture Portland to offer you a different experience and some fun.
Join us for an experience you are sure to not forget at Aviation Gin. Thanks to co-owner and actor Ryan Reynolds, it’s a distillery experience unlike any other in the city.
You will have a chance to take a picture with Ryan and meet other cool people from the NW Industrial Business Association and other districts.
The Aviation Gin tasting room and distillery feature an escape room! Meet us there, the first drink is on us!

Mya Chamberlain is the executive director of the Friendly House. Mya Chamberlin grew up in NW Portland where she attended Friendly House's Preschool in the 1970’s. Mya maintained her ties to the organization as a teen, where she worked as a volunteer, and returned to Friendly House in the mid-90's to work as a teacher in the after-school program.
About Noelle Dobson
Noelle Dobson is a Grants Program Manager at Metro and oversee the Metro Central Community Enhancement Grant and regional Community Enhancement Program. She’ll be gathering input on two proposals for potential changes to Metro grant programs that serve North and Northwest Portland communities.

GUEST SPEAKER: Lory Hefele - Co-chair of the Government Transition Advisory Committee for the City of Portland.

Lory will speak about her role on the Government Transition Advisory Committee, responsible for ensuring the charter amendments approved by voters are implemented efficiently and effectively and providing community engagement and education for this work. She will speak about what the charter change includes, and the current status and answer any questions regarding how to stay involved and informed with this historic transition to the City of Portland's new form of government over the next 18 months.

April’s monthly meeting agenda.
Our next monthly meeting will feature a presentation from echelon security services cofounder Reid Kerr. Reid will lay out a plan for how local businesses in our district can benefit by hiring Echelon. Many of you have expressed deep concern over increased crime and vandalism lately and Echelon may be a solution for some of the businesses in the northwest industrial district, because this is a relevant topic with many of you we expect a large turn out and we ask that you RSVP if you plan to attend.
We will meet at Lovett Deconstruction Inc. located at 4315 NW St Helens Rd 97210. We have parking out front but if that is full please park in our neighbor's parking lot to the south at Finity Productions 4309 NW St Helens rd. The entry door will be the one at the top of the ADA ramp.

Corky Collier, from Columbia Corridor Association, will be presenting the final report we did on the MP2H streetcar expansion into the industrial sanctuary, and give us an update from the city.
If you work/live near or in the path of the proposed extension project, we encourage you to attend.
