Sargent De Andre Amos:
I am a 10-year veteran of the Portland Police Bureau and have been a Sergeant for the past two years. During my time with the Bureau, I have served as an Enhanced Crisis Intervention Team member, which received additional level training around mental health and individuals in mental health crises. I have also volunteered and assisted at the Bureau’s training division to help train and teach tactics and material to officers. Prior to transferring to the NRT Sergeant role, I served as a patrol Sergeant on the Central day shift as well as the night shift. I have also had the opportunity to attend numerous community outreach programs and interact with the community.
