IAs you may have seen, BPS recently released a survey related to the Working Draft Montgomery Park to Hollywood (MP2H) NW Plan Character Statement . This character statement is being created to serve as a guide for future development projects that would be subject to design review. We hope that you will share the information below about the character statement and survey with community members in your network that may be interested.

In December 2021, PBOT released the Draft Montgomery Park Area Transportation Plan. BPS also released the MP2H-NW Plan Discussion Draft. City staff are currently working through issues and public comments on the drafts. City Staff will propose final land use and transportation plans for consideration by the Planning and Sustainability Commission, a Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) for consideration by City Council, and may seek federal transit funding for the project in 2023 or 2024. The extension of the streetcar to Montgomery Park and rebuilding of NW 23rd Avenue from NW Lovejoy to NW Vaughn could be under construction by 2026, including new stormwater management and accessibility upgrades.

Please join project staff at an upcoming workshop to discuss the desired character of future development in the proposed MP2H - Northwest Plan area between NW Vaughn and NW Nicolai streets west of Highway 30.

The City of Portland team continues to work on developing a proposed plan for the Montgomery Park to Hollywood (MP2H) study area in Northwest Portland. Now, the City team can share project updates and expected next steps, including a public design workshop event in the works.
